Synopsis
Crossing the artistic borders of poetry, painting, performance and dance. The Crimson project has evolved from a cross-fertilisation process of writing, experimentation in text painting and dance, into a body of work that not only stands alone as a collection of paintings or poetry, but also works as an integrated multi-media exhibition. Colour is used as an emotional metaphor in a series of diptychs that narrate the story of an affair, a painted interpretation of a collection of poems written by the artist herself. Subtle layering of rich transparent glazes are a backdrop for a combination of abstract marks and painted text that relate various stages of the relationship. Read the poems and view the videos by clicking on the Links above. Prints of the series, or of details from the paintings can be
ordered by clicking on Limited Edition Prints.
