Curriculum Vitae
Rosy James has been painting since 1997 when, in the final year of her Textiles degree she progressed from surface pattern design to focus on Textile Art, producing work which won her a place in the New Designers Exhibition at London’s Business Design Centre, the annual national graduate show for best of year designers. She continued to study Fine Art for the next ten years taking a Masters Degree in 2007. Combining her passion for colour and textured surfaces she produces bold and original paintings with a diverse range of subject matter, attracting corporate and private commissions which include work for the Weetabix company. Always experimenting and developing new approaches to her work, James’ paintings and prints are unique in their intriguing and expressive use of colour. Current work explores Hybridity in the arts, taking poetry as a starting point for her paintings, crossing artistic borders and collaborating with Dance and Film artists to produce a Combined Arts project that can stand alone in its separate artform or be integrated as a multidisciplined exhibition.

Experience
Rosy has worked on both private and corporate commissions, and continues to explore new themes, techniques and media to expand her portfolio and creativity, including collaborations with artists from other fields to develop multi-disciplined performances and exhibitions.
